MGM Resorts has sold Circus Circus to a fellow resort owner and is also forming a joint venture with a private equity firm who will acquire the Bellagio's real estate and lease it back to MGM Resorts.

MGM has been expanding internationally as well by investing in a new casino in Osaka, Japan.
